Talent Labs Curriculum

Everything flows from your personal vision for your dental practice. In this lesson we discuss your WHY and how to establish your core vision, your values, and thereby influencing your culture. This is the first step in the process to improve your talent position.

Using your values from week one, we explore the operating mentality of recruiting talent to your organization, how to think about selecting talent, and concepts around fit as it applies to prospective employees. We’ll also walk you through proven interviewing practices that will improve your talent selection success.

Week three focuses on moving new employees quickly into highly productive and engaged team members. On-boarding is more than just paperwork. It’s a process that ensures recruiting success and employee engagement in their work. We also provide you with a proven on-boarding plan that you can easily implement. 

In week four we discuss the valuable process of employee performance feedback and enhancement. Our process allows you to connect your team’s performance to your company’s values. You will learn how to confidently course correct and provide developmental conversations that engage your people.

As a leader, you depend on your people to successfully execute their work tasks. In week five we discuss the theory of talent development and we reveal a development process that you can implement into your team. No longer will you want your team to take CE just to get hours. You’ll also be provided with talent development tools that guide a purposeful development experience for your employees.

Cary Smith, CPHRM

Cary has 11 years of corporate HR experience and 15 years of dental risk management experience in the dental space. He has developed Dentist Secure, Dentist Secure Labs, Done Desk, and High Trust Practice to serve the risk management efforts of dental entrepreneurs.

Max Kerr, DDS

Max has been a dentist for 12 years and owns two wildly successful practices in Vista Ridge Family Dentistry and Sleep Better Austin in Austin, TX. As a partner in High Trust Practice, he brings his vast dental entrepreneurship skills to bear for the support of our dental community.
